Wonderful Teen Saves for Two Years to Get His Best Friend an Electric Wheelchair

High school senior, Tanner Wilson, wanted to to get his best friend Brandon something he's been wanting for a long time. It was going to be expensive though–particularly for a high school student. So, Tanner got an after school job as a mechanic and spent two years saving everything he could to get Brandon an electric wheelchair.

In his determination to make the gift a surprise, Tanner didn't even tell his mom about his plans. “He’s a very caring person,” Tanner’s mom, Colleen, told InsideEdition.com.

Tanner said that Brandon has been a really good friend to him and that it was "100% worth it" just to see the smile on his face.

Brandon has cerebral palsy. He had told friends and family that one day he would like to have an electric wheelchair to get around in, because his arms were constantly aching from the long corridors at his high school.

Tanner enrolled the help of some of their teachers to decorate the wheelchair with flames and Brandon's last name, "Qualls". Talking about the moment he received his new wheels, Brandon said “I was just crying everywhere. I was like, ‘Wow I can’t believe he did that for me’." He continued to say “It’s been my dream to just have one of these and he made my dream come true.”
