8 No-Carve Pumpkin Ideas

If you can't get your hands on a carving kit, never fear - no-carve pumpkin ideas are out there.

It’s that time of year again.  We’ve been busy getting ready for fall, which includes tending to our autumn plants for Garden Club, tidying up the greenhouse before winter hits and our favorite -- painting pumpkins!  This Halloween we’d like to highlight some fun, no-carve pumpkin ideas to skip the sharp knives and messy pumpkin guts everywhere.  You can even use washable paint, so you can wash the pumpkins afterwards and use them for cooking!No-carve pumpkin ideas don't have to be boring - just whip out some paint and get creative. 1. BB8 Star Wars Pumpkin:Just use two white pumpkins, stack them on top of each other and use some duct tape or non-toxic paint to create the cutest little robot Jack O’ Lantern around! Mummy Pumpkins:Use some gauze or toilet paper and wrap it around your pumpkin.  Glue some googly eyes and marker in a mouth, and you’ve got a mummy pumpkin!  Easy and adorable.3. Owl Pumpkins:Take a few black pumpkins, some non-toxic, neon colored markers, some construction paper and a pair of googly eyes and you can create an owl-fully cute pumpkin.  Whooo wouldn’t love that?4. Leafy Pumpkins:With some Mod Podge and some old leaves or stencils, you can make your pumpkin into any work of art that you want -- and it makes the perfect fall decoration too!5. Beaded Pumpkins:Got some leftover beads you don’t know what to do with?  Stick them on your pumpkin!  Arrange them into patterns, Halloween characters like ghosts, bats or owls, or anything your heart desires!  Just make sure you’re using a non-toxic glue.6. Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head:If you’ve got this awesome toy lying around, the spare parts are perfect for making your Jack O’ Lantern into these beloved characters!  No glue required -- just stick the arms, feet and face right on there.7. Glow In The Dark Pumpkins:Use your favorite, non-toxic glow in the dark paint and splatter away!  Just make sure you charge them in the sunlight so they’ll glow nice and bright in the evening.8.
