Cook Full Time / Part Time Kitchen Staff

Stephen’s Place is a supportive independent apartment community designed for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We currently have an opening for a full-time and a part-time experienced professional cook. Our full-size commercial kitchen features high-quality, scratch-made meals for our residents, team, and guests.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • An interest in promoting the mission of Stephen’s Place!

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the food service industry. Must possess a high general knowledge of cooking techniques and food products.

  • Be able to perform all the physical requirements of a cook’s position. (bending, reaching, lifting 40 lbs without assistance, standing for extended periods of time, etc.)

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize time and duties.

  • A current Washington Food Handlers card is required

The position is 20 - 25 hours a week, occasional overtime may be required. Availability on weekends and holidays is required. Stephen’s Place offers a stable professional work atmosphere and team environment with excellent working conditions. Benefits include paid sick time, paid vacation, and holiday pay. Employment is contingent upon meeting all local health regulation requirements, pre-employment requirements include; drug screening criminal background investigation, TB testing, and reference inquiries.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
